5 Things Meme

Raul tagged me on this meme. I usually hate these things and find myself increasingly lame as I attempt to answer them (Favourite artist? Er…. Greatest hero in history? Help…) But this one was kind of intriguing, so here goes:

5 things I was doing 10 years ago:

  1. Working on several films (including this one) and maybe this one) and attending acting school
  2. Editing a marketing book
  3. Writing a suspense novel (er, I’ve never finished it – It’s not very good)
  4. Nursing a broken heart (this is a guess, but I was doing that at regular intervals back then, so it’s an educated guess)
  5. Dying my hair blonde

5 things on my “to do” list today:

  1. Write a response on blog to a Wired Article
  2. Do some work for clients (newsletter stuff and writing)
  3. Work on a Crowdsourcing speech
  4. Meet with friend’s boyfriend to give him social media advice
  5. Look more thoroughly at this site

5 snacks I love:

  1. BBQ Ridged Potato Chips
  2. Sushi
  3. Poutine
  4. Smoothies
  5. Cheese

5 things I would do if I were a millionaire:

  1. Make a (decent budget) film, cast my friends
  2. Buy a house
  3. Invest
  4. Travel More
  5. Donate More

5 places I’ve lived:

  1. Vancouver, B.C.
  2. Manhattan, NYC
  3. North Bergen, New Jersey (Nice town. Pretty. Supermarkets were hard to find, as were libraries. But there were 5 liquor stores nearby. Oh and some nice parks.)
  4. St. Anne De Bellevue, Quebec
  5. Montreal, Quebec

5 jobs I’ve had:

  1. Writer & Social Media Evangelist
  2. Actor
  3. Legal Assistant
  4. Assistant to a Professor of Marketing
  5. Mascot at Amusement Park (pity me…)

I imagine I’m supposed to tag others for this, but I am assuming most do not want to feel obligated – so I’ll tag no one. Friends, you can thank me when you see me 🙂

You know, I saw this on Raul’s blog the other day. I’m a little scared to do it though; my life isn’t nearly as exciting as either of yours. Only lived in Vancouver, haven’t even had 5 jobs yet, and ten years ago, I was fat, picking my nose and playing Super Nintendo.

… and that’s the sum of my life, until I hit college. All of a sudden, BAM! It wasn’t a butterfly that emerged from the cocoon, but a giant, mechanized beast with smoking lasers on its back, a camera draped around its neck, a keyboard in one hand and a microphone in the other. Still a geek though, apparently.

You couldn’t be anymore cool now, you cute thing. And by the time you get to my age (in 10 years! eeek), I’m sure you’ll have a far more exciting list than mine 🙂
